A birth year watch with a surprising caliber, the Tissot 430 based on an ETA-ESA 9150. From my research, this movement was produced from 1965-1976. It was the first calibre to use an electronically controlled balance wheel beating at 21600 A/h and has a smooth sweep second like a mechanical calibre. It also has a hack feature when setting the time.

The power source is a standard watch battery. The electric current delivered by this battery Is metered by an electronic circuit with a planar silicon transistor. The electronic circuit generates current pulses that are transmitted to an electrodynamic transducer that maintains the oscillations of the balance wheel. The oscillations of this system are counted by an anchor ratchet. A traditional gearing leads to the hands and the calendar.
