Hello dear forum!
I just found this watch, a present from my grandfather when I was a child.
Unfortunately, I have no idea on vintage watches like this. The only thing I can see is that it needs a new crystal because this one is broken. It works perfectly.
Do you have any idea what could be...
I found an old watch in a loft (attic) but I cannot seem to find the model number or any further information on it.
I managed to trace a picture online of the exact same watch (but in better condition) but am curious to learn more about it --- this is the reference I found...
Hope Covid is treating you well.
I am trying to find some information around my Lanco watch my dad gave to me many years ago.
It's a Lanco edge (blue face) with 3 hands and a date section in at 3 o'clock position with lume dials and lume hour markers.
On the back it reads...
First time here at the forum, hope its the first of many posts. I found some old watches from my grampa stuffed away for ages.
Liked them a lot and started to get to know more about the brands, found out they're good and reliable watches.
I really like them.
I just cant tell the...
I'd like to introduce the one vintage watch in my smallish collection that kind of started it all.
Lanco Seaborn 3000 Automatic
ca. early 1970s
41mm with crown
Tissot 784-2 movement
200m water resistant
I stumbled on this on eBay and bought it on a...
This is my first foray into vintage mechanicals. I got this '60s looking Lanco manual winder in a lot with 3 offbrand quartz cheapies. The case diameter is 30mm and the dial color is sort of iridescent root beer brown. Not the prettiest in my book, but it's solid and heavy, has a perfect...

Today I received a lovely gold plated Lanco and I'd love to learn more about it. I've Googled loads and emailed Swatch Group in the hope they inherited Langendorf's archives from when SIHH acquired them, but of course I know the best source of knowledge is right here :)
It has a Langendorf...
I was wondering whether someone knows something on this Lanco movement - 15 jewels:
It resembles the most with a Langendorf 25, as shown in Ranfft, but it's not the same animal:
bidfun-db Archive: Watch Movements: Langendorf 25
The pic of the movement is not mine, but I opened my watch

I just bought a Lanco, 15 jewels, presumably from 1930's or 1940's. (Swiss made.)
Here are two pics (taken by the guy who sold it - the watch seems bigger than it really is).
I guess he chose an adolescent with a really small hand to take the photo.
I did not realize how small it is when I...
Hi. I decided to sell on eBay my old Lanco Automatic watch. It was a nice watch that I bought with my father when I was a kid. This little guy is unfortunately in need for service by someone with experient hands (it is running, but the date adjustment function is not working properly). It's a...
Hi. I decided to sell on eBay that Swatch Automatic Blackboard I had bought some time ago. I gave it some use, but now I want to try another watch, and maybe this one can take a special spot in someone else's collection ;)
You are invited to check it out here (auction ends in 24 hours):
Any idea what movement this is? It's in 70's Lanco. Winding is unidirectional and it has day-date complication with quick-set.
Sorry for the gigantic image size but it's easier to see details like this.
This is rare, hard to find Lanco 3 sub chrono with the famed Valjoux 7736 movement. This watch is from my personal collection and is near mint condition. The case is perfect with no dings or scratches and is all original. There is very little aging on the dial, but some is present and can be...
I started collecting watches a few years ago, as I travelled a lot and found that a unique watch was a great souvenir to pick up (especially when I was in Europe). I have newly discovered my taste for vintage watches though, and have begun collecting a few. I am just wondering if...
