I start to look for a Strela 3017 from the beginning of 1960's, I saw a lot of differencies and I would be glad if some of you could give me tips and advice in order to choose a truely genuine Strela (hands, glass's materials, mechanism...).
I just started watch collecting, and I wanted a Strela 3017 as my first watch. I found this on eBay, and I have already bought it. I just want to hear some opinions about this watch. Thanks much appreciated.
Hi subforum. Does anyway own the new 40mm Strelas with the ST19 from Poljot24?
From reading online it appears the YL/JK Strelas are of undisclosed origin for both parts and assembly. There is no concrete info on where parts are made and assembled apart from ST19 being a "Sea-gull" movement...

Recently I have fallen in love with the Okean and am thinking of getting one.
My dillema is whether to go vintage or the new "Final Edition" that doesn't seem so final :)
I usually go down vintage route on my watches and on a Strela it makes perfect sense as the vintage one has a different...
Hi there fellow watch enthusiasts, nerds and lovers.
I am getting ready to purchase a 42mm strela, the model with golden shade dial with blue second hand.
2 issues that I am not sure of:
1. Is the gold shade on the dial too bright! and is it exactly a gold colour?
2. Is the blue second hand...
This watch has only been worn a few times and is in excellent condition without any serious markings on it apart from a few strap changing marks. Please check the photo's. The same goes for the bracelet.
I am the first owner and I bought it from Julian Kampmann (poljot24.de). It is a beauty and...
Up for sale is a vintage Strela Chronograph from roughly 1971, 36mm case. This particular model has the rare white dial marked Sekonda. The neatest part of this piece is the Tiffany blue color to the lume on the paddle hands. On this white dial they really pop and the light plays off the indices...

I am looking at making my first vintage purchase, currently I am interested picking a vintage Strela 3017 chronograph.
My specific question is what to look for in such a watch, but also as a more general question, is there a good thread to post specific links to watches for sale to...
I'm really new to Russian watches and I've doing research for quite a few days.
Initially I'm looking for a hand winding chrono as my old quartz chrono broke, I wanted to up the game by a mechanical one without paying the price of an auto.
Anyway I discovered Russian hand winding chronos which...
