  1. An Amature Venture into Watch Timing

    Public Forum
About a month ago, I bought my Rolex GMT Master II BLNR. I absolutely love it. Beyond a week of vacation, I've had it on my wrist every day. I absolutely love it. A few weeks ago, I decided to (somewhat scientifically) keep track of how much time the watch was losing over time. This isn't my...
  2. I finally used my chrono

    Public Forum
I was one of those who thought chronos are silly and have no use other than the aesthetic appeal. Recently, I've been using the chronograph more often. Don't get me wrong, by no means it is something "essential" but lets not kid ourselves, no part of this watch hobby is either. So now I find...
  3. Does anyone have a copy of the downloadable Biburo file? Link is dead on web

Hi, I'm trying to find a copy of biburo (or any good free watch timing software) but the old Japanese link is dead. Does anyone have the file that they could just email to me or is it online somewhere else? Thanks!
  4. Accuracy for a Gallet 6119B movement

    Vintage & Pocket watches
Forgive my ignorance. I am posting this message in hopes that more knowledgeable folks can enlighten me just a bit. I'm looking at a Gallet 25 automatic with the 6119B movement. The seller says that it was timed and found to lose 42.6 seconds over 24 hours. My question: is this acceptable...
  5. ST5 timing

    Chinese Mechanical watches
My ST5 WUS Chinese Mechanical Forum 2013 Project Watch #29 (henceforth just '#29'), is not (yet) running very stable: On average it is currently (days 0 to 2) losing 12 seconds/day when worn, and 3 seconds/day when stored dial up. My current plan is to give it a few days to stabilize, then try...

Well, you don't think twice, you help him :-! Here's the story: When Hardwell was announced the #1 DJ in the world by, his agency decided to give him a nice present. They bought him a Rolex GMT .. all black. Because he lives in the same city and he's the best friend of my son (who...
  7. the Pellikaan timing Flying Dutchman Special Edition nr. 3/10 REVIEW

When I came across the Flying Dutchman Special Edition on the internet I immediately knew this would be my next watch. It precisely fulfilled my complete expectations of a watch, both in design and in terms of specifications. As if you suddenly realize, by seeing the watch, you always wanted it...
  8. Is this how a watch is timed?

Not sure if this is the right forum, but I sent my Omega Seamaster out for an overhaul, it was running about +40 in 24 hours. Got it back in nice shape and it seems to be running about +4 now. This slip came back with it, I'm assuming it shows the timing? I never saw anything like this...
  9. Automatic Watch Regulating Exepriences

I did not want to hijack a thread I just replied to so I figured I'd start another. I know this is not Ocean7 Specific and if the mods or Mitch want to remove this post. Please do but I believe this is OK marked as off Topic. I am posting here as I respect the opinion of my fellow Ocean7...
