Jaermann & Stübi is noted for its joint projects with golfing legends. This year the brand joined forces with another legendary golfer, Ian Woosnam, also known on the golf tour as 'Woosie'. He worked alongside Jaermann & Stübi to develop and design his own watch series, the case of which was produced using the golf clubs he used to win the 1991 US Masters.

Woosnam's career has spanned 48 worldwide tournament victories including the US Masters at Augusta in 1991. In 1987 he was the first player to win $1 million in prize money in a single year. He has won the European Order of Merit twice and held the ranking of World No.1 for 50 consecutive weeks. The new watches will be on show at Baselworld 2016.

In addition to this, Jaermann & Stübi is continuing to develop its flagship 'Royal Open' collection by paying tribute to Brazil, the country organizing the next Summer Olympic Games.

For the first time since 1904, golf will once again be considered as an Olympic discipline and will take part in the competition with a stroke play tournament over four days (four lots of 18 holes). Today's best golfers will compete against each other to win one of the famous, much-coveted medals. While the watches in the 'Royal Open' collection do not contain any specific counters, they do incorporate a shock absorber, giving golfers the possibility of playing with a timepiece on their wrist without damaging it.

The new Brazil edition model will be equipped with a course time counter, enabling the wearer to measure the time required to complete a golf course. Furthermore, this mechanism also enables the watch to display a second time zone.
