“Refreshing” the silicone strap?

Anyone have any suggestions for restoring the lug-fitted silicone straps to newer condition? Speaking specifically about how they start to develop an often uneven shine over the years.

tough one, silicone is impervious to anything so, if you treat it with anything it would just come off

however this site seems to have a few tricks

Did they confuse a rubber strap with a corroded battery terminal? :unsure::unsure:

Is this from rubbing on sleeves etc. or is it due to water residue? If the former, you could sand it down just a bit to get an even surface once more; if the latter, there is nothing you can do that'd last for a longer time (speaking from experience with my Breitling Ocean Racer strap).
