Congrats! An interesting choice of green for the dial — I like it. Plus, it really complements the lume. Looking forward to your initial impressions and wrist shots.
First impression of unboxing: This is a one of a kind piece but does it fit within a collection!?
Case: Solid weight and feel that assures the brain you are wearing a well constructed tool watch. The all ceramic case is quite beautiful and extremely unique in design.
Bezel: I love the bezel on these 03-92 divers. The way it protrudes from the square case reminds of a port-hole - it is just awesome. The action of the bezel is unique as well, not a 'clicking' sound at all more of a dull 'clank' with each turn. A very tactical, military-esque, feel and sound to the action.
Dial: What words can I use to describe the milky pale yellow/green color? I would not call the dial green, nor yellow, but a pastel tint of both colors combined with perfectly matching lum on the bezel indicators.
Wearability: The 42mm square presence and wearability on my 7.5'' wrist is great. I would not want the piece any larger, or smaller. The watch came with a textile strap as well, which I have not tried. The current B&R rubber is plenty comfortable and matches the piece well.
Overall design thoughts: There is something nautical and tactical about the design that I thoroughly enjoy. Besides nothing on the market looking like it, I think it will be a fun piece to dress up casually and enjoy on a sunny day. I was hoping the monochromatic styling of the watch would lend itself to changing the color of the strap and I think there will be quite a few fun color options to pair with the black case & pastel dial - B&R has recently stepped up their strap game with loads of options and I know I will have a good time finding some unique pairings through them and Horus Straps. This is a keeper, a conversation starter and a unique piece of my collection that, at least currently, cannot be replicated by another brand.
Oh...and the torch-like full lum is just a fun bonus to the overall design, in my opinion!
Love it. There’s one on WatchRecon that has me tempted. These ceramic models have a great stealthy presence that’s just fun. Would really like to see this on any of those narrower straps that don’t have the typical bell and Ross shoulders. Good luck with it.
