Hello

Some of you may have seen an announcement on another forum concerning the above. We have tentatively arranged with a US based importer of Vostok watches to obtain a limited number of the 1967 Amphibia watches directly from Vostok - at pretty close to a wholesale price.

The importer would like to obtain a firm headcount of the number of interested buyers to firm up the pricing and number of watches. We have at this point agreed to a total number of 20 watches (not sure of the mix of bracelet/numeric dial vs. rubber strap/indicies dial).

Many of the allotted 20 slots have been filled. However, we do have several slots which are open and wish to provide WUS members a chance to participate.

Please read the post (see link) carefully and provide either myself - sfnewguy ([email protected]) or ChrisL ([email protected]) with the information requested on the post.

We are not doing this to make $$ but rather to obtain these great watches at a better price point than what we have seen from retail sellers so far.
At this point, we have a commitment from our importer to help us obtain the 1967s from Vostok, but further details will have to be worked out. Our importer indicated that Vostok will get the 1967s back in stock sometime in July 2008. Therefore, it may take several months to get the watches in hand. But we must get a firmer idea of the level of committed interested buyers in order to proceed.

Thank you!

Didn't want to really bring this up to the top again, but it should be stated for the record that the group-buy has been cancelled as Vostok has failed to make a promised production run last summer. Everybody that remained on the list has been notified by email.
