History and the Background of the Watch
- This vintage Wittnauer is quite a remarkable, funky and retro piece, that has a unique history.
The watch was a result of an affiliation Wittnauer had with Seiko back in the 1970s.
The movement was made in Japan by Seiko and what every watch lover knows, is that Seiko don't kid around when it comes to making good watches, that are robust and keeps on for a very long time.
While the case back was made/outsourced in Hong Hong when it still was under British Colony rule.
The movement is a fully automatic calendar movement with Ref.number 1000-W100, and signed WITTNAUER WATCH CO. 17 jewels, unadjusted, Japan.
Date functions: To change the date, just draw the crown out at the first click and then move the crown downwards to change the date. but to change the day you have to draw the crown full out and then move the hands from 9 o´clock to 1 o´clock and then keep moving the markers back and fort till you have changed it to the day you want.
The watch is in its original condition and works great and keeping good time.
- And It has a long time reserve when its fully "charged".
