After getting the green light from my fiance and just not willing to sacrifice the purchase of 1 Rolex as opposed to 2 Omegas for the same cost and quality (I guess its the Accountant in me, CPA = Cheapest Person Alive) I have committed myself to purchasing a PO 2201.50 and/or Speedmaster Date 3211.30

From what I read on this forum the PO's 2500 movement is a proven and reliable, and one that I can foresee myself having for many years to come.

I have called an AD here in the Bay Area, CA offering some discount, but am looking for the magical 30% amount that I have read here in the forum.

BTW, reading this forum and seeing some of the pics, I may have to also get a macro lens as well!

Go with the PO. Its a fantastic watch. I agree that the Rolex is overpriced, and I commented to myself this morning that the PO is just a bargain compared to a comparable Rolex, even at full retail it still is a better deal.

^^ By the way, that was from an AD with several large stores in CA. (For those of you concerned I'm pointing the OP toward a grey market dealer). LOL

They have a large selections of Planet Oceans, the limited edition 007 SMP, and the "Casino Royale" PO.
