I think it should say Meßbatterie instead of Beobachtungsuhr, like it's illustrated in Uwe's post #84 and my post #111 in this thread.

The Werk Nr. 1/50 - Werk number reflects on the movement serial number (which we will not have) and not the SE number.

I might be misunderstanding you; however, the Werk Nr. was a reference number that would allow you to differentiate between two watches. Since we don't have serial numbers that we can have engraved in this field, using the LE number seemed like the next logical choice as it also is a way to differentiate between two watches.

As I stated in the post with the drawings - PLEASE don't concern yourself with font types or size. We can hammer out all of the fine details with size and positioning once we've decided on one drawing. To start micro-adjusting numerous drawings would be a maddening process.

With respect to your suggestion about moving the LE number to the bottom - and I'm fine with that - I'm assuming you don't like the idea of anything engraved on the side of the case?

So what the general consensus with respect to voting on this design item? I can make some revisions to the drawings from the above posts and then start a vote this weekend, or we can give others a chance to chime in still. My concern is that many might not realise that we're still moving ahead with this and that they're not paying attention to this sub-forum at the moment. I could also let the vote run for a longer amount of time too. I dunno, what does everyone think?

This part of the project has been going on for quite some time, so everybody has had their opportunity to say what they'd like regarding the case back. I think we should start voting. However I think it is a good idea to let the vote run a little longer than usual so those who haven't paid attention to this sub forum lately gets a week extra time to "rediscover" this thread.

Okay, I'll post a vote thread sometime this coming weekend. I'll probably post a reminder in the regular Laco forum too. And I've been meaning to add some sort of a signature image that lets others know that this project is happening.
