I would certainly be interested in a Military-themed piece over Civilian; that being said, I'm open to some 'fresh' interpretations of historic designs. The Sextant/Artillary dials and some of the Marine timers are stunning - I appreciate the intricacy of the dial layouts. There was mention of a Regulator modification at one point... though adjusting the movement towards this function is probably cost prohibitive, the intention of the Regulator could be reflected through a 'Timer' layout.

I stumbled on this diagram (P. v. H. Weems for Longines, 1929) for a Navigator Watch which has some similar elements....

Good day gentleman - happy Friday. I was curious about exploring the naval artillery/torpedo dials if the scales were adjusted for regular timekeeping - so I quickly drafted an adjusted rendition of the Junghans dial to offer. Now, I've not taken great pains to 'exactly' translate the dial proportions, but the timing indices are all precise; I've also not been too particular about font selection, colour, or (obviously) even drafting hands at this point. If anyone is curious, adjusting colour, font, scale, or logo/text would be a relatively quick to-do. Looking forward to the vote. Manera.

Thanks RonB. :)
Re: sub-dial, I agree completely - I think in the original stopwatch, the minutes scale was extracted for the sub-dial. I actually really enjoy that the 7425 has a central sweep seconds. Too bad we couldn't have a Power Reserve in that 12 o'clock position; I've seen some Lange Marine Timers with that complication....

Re: Torpedo Theme

Sorry for the delay, work was unexpectedly demanding this past weekend. A quick rundown: four scales (external seconds, a 'blank' scale, middle minutes, and interior hours) and a dash of colour! It was suggested in an earlier post to use one of the middle scales for historical text or text specific to this project but my vanilla-CAD wouldn't allow for text along curves... so I opted to leave the middle scale blank.

Now seeing this layout, I think it affords many opportunities for design nuance... but I'll wait to see the vote results before taking it any further. Thanks, Manera.
