Boutique is your best option. In the US, we can also call and order directly from the Swatch group service center in New Jersey. Not sure if that is an option outside the US.

I have just called my AD to get info about the possibility to make an upgrade from my non micro adjustable 3861 bracelet but they don’t have info about it yet.

Tomorrow they will call Omega to ask about it.

Any one has the info?

My local AD said the part number shows up but it’s not available for order yet.

I'm curious if anyone has tried to buy an extra 3861 stock standard end-link and modify it?
For a skilled watchmaker, or just any enthusiast with a decent file, it should be possible to take off just enough steel to fit the wider bar of the chronoscope clasp.

Interesting article, but it still doesn’t make it clear if existing owners are now able to order the necessary parts to upgrade their bracelet. As far as I’ve been told by 2 different sources with parts accounts the connecting link (118STZ013110) is still not available to order separately.

So I talked to Omega parts today. The clasp (117STZ013899) is available to order (albeit on back order), however the connecting link (118STZ013110) is not...it has been discontinued, even though its used on all new 3861 Moonwatches! This is such BS. Omega knows how popular this upgrade would be but has shut us down. The only option is to purchase the entire $$$ bracelet. I'm not going to lie, my enthusiasm for the brand has taken a hit because of this.

They also mentioned the link is unavailable to ADs, so that path is a deadend as well.

Looks like RJ got an update from Omega and posted in the comments today.

“Yes, I have an update. It seems the boutiques weren’t fully aligned yet and spare parts weren’t properly communicated yet. The new folding clasp will be available as a “kit”, meaning it will have everything you need to make it fit your Speedmaster Professional 2021/2022 version. It will take a bit longer though, before everything is ready and communicated.”

So, more waiting, but some promise of a direct fit solution w/o buying the full bracelet. Though, I guess it won’t help those who already have the clasp and just want the link. Bummer.

This is an important thread for many of us waiting to get this new clasp and so I humbly request that anyone who has had success in purchasing the new clasp- PLEASE POST DETAILS!

I picked up my new speedmaster bracelet today with the new clasp. I ordered the full bracelet. So it’s obviously a perfect fit and the new clasp is awesome. As a side benefit the new bracelet definitely has softer edges. It’s very noticeable so I’m guessing Omega addressed the criticism about the original bracelet finishing.

Cost about $700 from the Omega boutique and took about two weeks to come in.

I didn’t bother asking after reading about all the problems people are having.

No update on this in the past couple of months? Anyone been able to order the clasp kit to upgrade their original 3861 bracelet?

Mind sharing the price? I wonder if ADs will be able to order as well. Don’t have any OBs around.
