24h Regulators based on VD77 quartz movement - Skagen, OTUMM, Svalbal

Danish Skagen is offering typical Scandinavian-design watches. Skagen Signatur One-Hand watch is available in two versions

SKW6389 is a blue-silver-mesh version
SKW6390 is a white-rose gold-leather strap version

Both wathes arrived in Skagen's 2017 Autumn collection.

Diameter - 40mm

I bought the white one. Because white dial w blue hands looked much better for me than blue dial with silver hands. But the blue one has advantages too, like mesh strap.

Another VD77-based regulator, not so nice at all as I think, is produced by Svalbal. Svalbal watches are available in Rakuten. Seems to me, that two versions exists.

OTUMM is a watch brand from Hong Kong. They have their own website otummwatch.asia and even six versions of OTUMM 43mm Regulateur are offered.

BTW. The most expensive is OTUMM, then follows Svalbal and Skagen is the cheapest. Especially if you look at Skagen sale (Jomashop).

Make that three: SKW6391 is a white-silver-leather version.

Other than my mild dismay at the AM/PM markings rather than pure 24-hour dial it's very attractive.

Just after Christmas I went to a local jewellery store that was selling them 'on special' online as I wanted to inspect one. I was almost relieved that they didn't have any in store because I probably would have bought it regardless. I'm still thinking about it, though.

There are six variations at about half the price of the Skagen.

These need to lose their 12-hour hand, though. With this watchcase it looks like that would be quick and easy to do.

Two new VD77-based regulators are on their way from Svalbard.

I quite like the first but the second is a bit too similar to other offerings, plus it has a mesh band and diamond crown, both of which I dislike.
