Any idea what time frame this logo was used? I was going through some watches and all of sudden this struck me. Not sure why it never jumped out at me before. :/
It does not show up in Michael Ceyp's "Faszination Sowjetische Uhren" or on russian_logos
Have not been able to find a similar mark on Google, either.
As is my lot in life, Mark's site is forbidden over here. o|:-|

Well, the same bridge does say 3-52. However, in the photograph it seems like this bridge might not be original, the striping don't appear to match, but the only way to tell if they do indeed match is by examining the watch itself.

My one and only pocket watch, comrades, a sober double-back ZIM. Authenticity is not known and movement has parts appearing to come from the early Lip movements sometimes found in these watches but the movement could have been an attempted reconstruction using Lip bridges installed in a later body since body is not the same color as the bridges. Spasibo!

And the answer is.....

Molnia

Not available in English; only German and Russian. Go figure!
So, any polyglot who is willing... feel free to translate the page... (Hint Hint)

Though this still does not fully answer the question. I have an identical Molnija also from 3-52 with the traditional 2ChZ logo. From what I have thus far gathered, this star logo seems to have fallen between the 2nd Watch Factory and the normal Chelyabinsk logos. Still a bit more information is needed to put it all together.
Komrade Seele - I have the watch in hand. The stripes line up perfectly under 40x magnification (jeweler's loupe). But you are correct, in that it was the first thing I verified.

Hello duffhessian! Are you back home at last?
The old five-point star logo was used from ChChZ until the end of 1954. Molnijas with the old logo are carbon copies of the standard 15 jewels Molnijas made is Moscow by 2MChZ. From 1955 onwards, the standard ЧЧЗ appears along with some subtle differences, e.g. the hands and the click.

Hey ocram - No. Not home yet. Still in the 'stan. Wont be home to my lovely wife until August, and then only for her birthday/R&R and then come right back. Thanks for the info! I thought there had to be some overlap in there. Wonder why the didn't stay with the star - it is nearly as much their national emblem as the hammer and sickle.
I have several Molnijas and 5 Kirovskies (1937 - 1944) beside my rack. I love the sound of the ticking. Almost reminds me of an old Big Ben clock. Soothing in some way to me. Either that or it helps block out the mortar fire.
