Hi all,

Frequent lurker here. Been searching for this but couldn't find a direct answer. It appears that the newer 300t case is identical to the old 1200t case. I have a Caribbean 1200t that I adore and bought many years ago. Never been a huge fan of the un-tapered bracelet so I've been mostly wearing on Natos or tropic rubber straps. Now I see these integrated rubber straps for the 300t. Would they fit flush with the 1200t case? While I quite like the look on the tropic, having the integrated rubber straps would fit the look nicely if they do indeed work. Anyone try it?

Sincerely, Alex

I'd love to have one of those rubber straps with deployment clasp, but I just can't stomach $440. Is anyone knocking these off?

Yes indeed, below picture of my 1200t on a 300t rubber strap I purchased directly from Doxa back in November ‘20. Go ahead and get the 300t rubber strap for your 1200t w confidence.

Looks great!

I love the thicker bezel teeth on the 1200 vs the new 300T with its thinner teeth.

Also that combo looks great. I was curious what that dial color would look like with the black fitted strap. I’d love to see more pics if you are willing. Either here or maybe in the aquamarine thread if that la more appropriate.

Cheers!

Indeed out of my divingstar and professional, IMHO the black rubber strap looks best on the aquamarine color. It picks up the black accents throughout the dial nicely. Also, I agree with you, the thicker bezel is nicer compared to the 300t; that was one of the reasons I sold my 300t for the 1200t. Well it was a combination of the domed crystal, the teeth on the bezel, and the DOXA logo letter size on the dial I like better than on the 300t.

This is where a sterile Aliexpress version for $18 shipped would be extremely useful. Unfortunately, I don’t think that Doxa sells enough of these, in volume, to warrant a replica.

I agree with the fact at $440 (strap+buckle) the price is ludicrous. I figured since I have three 1200ts I can always interchange a black rubber strap. This reasoning kinda made it easier for me to swallow that bitter pill.
In the absence of a better alternative, I guess we have the choice of settling for something else or pay-up. I do have to say though, the alignment is flawless and the quality of the rubber and comfort is definitely there, but at $440 it is steep.

Thank you all for your thoughtful replies and the pics. I'm convinced to pick up that black OEM 300t rubber strap! With my Caribbean 1200t, I don't think the color match looks the best so I'm thinking of going to basic black.

Helpful information, thanks guys. I‘ve recently re-aquired a 1200T after selling my first one to fund a 300 Black Lung. I missed the thicker case of the 1200T/ 300T - but there’s definitely room for both in the same collection 😉

Thats a lot of money for probably $20 worth of strap. $16 of which is the clasp.

Buy a 24mm and cut down the ends?
