Hi, I recently bought this early 80s Mickey Mouse watch. It came without a battery installed. I put a new battery in and it runs most of the time, but if I pull the crown and and push it back in after setting the time, sometimes it takes a few taps to get it going again. When it's stopped like this I can see the second hand twitching a little. What would cause this and what can I do to fix it properly? :thanks

If the second hand is twitching, the timing portion of the circuit is sending signals to the motor, but the motor is not developing enough torque to move the hand. So, either a bad electrical connection at the coil, or there is considerable drag in the gears. A good clean up should fix it.
