Hi,

New to the forum, I hope my question is in the right area, from what I understand this watch was made my TAG Heuer so I hope so, tell me if not.

I can't find any info on a Tourneau 7500, or a picture of one just like it. I love the watch and would like to know what it's TAG counter part is, or others. It's a stainless steel back saying automatic, stainless steel, swiss made, water resistant, shock resistant and the only numbers are 7500.

I guess I would have to take it to a watch shop to open it up and find out the movement, either Lemania or Valjoux right? How would I find woud the year too?

I don't want to sell it but may have to in a few months if work doesn't pick up, what should an ebay reserve be? If I'm going to sell it I don't want to give it away.

Thanks!

it's an interesting watch, I like it. Obviously it has the Valjoux 7750, an excellent if garden variety movement. I don't think the Tourneau brand name on the dial helps its value. I'd probably start bidding at $500; it's different enough looking, even unique, that you very well might get a good price.

Your right, it was the 7750, Calibre 11 said it has the case of the Orfina Porsche Design, and that would be it's counterpart but the Orfina has the Lemania. Still wish I knew the year...

The movement is not the Lemania... Heuer may have made this watch for Tourneau, caseback pics will help. Heuer did make Lemania 5100s for Tourneau. I don't know about Valjoux 7750s.

We don't do valuations. Check with eBay for completed auctions for data.

Thanks for your reply, I was thinking it was made by Heuer also, like a Pasadina, but the case is not the same, and it is close but not the same as the Orfina Porsche Design too, but the guy from Calibre 11 is most sure it is not Heuer.

Where should I post a thread topic for this if it is not Heuer? Im more interested in who made it for Tourneau then it's worth. Though it would be nice to know if it was worth more like $1500 then 300, as of right now I don't even want to sell it.

My Heuer-made Tourneau has the Heuer model number (of the similar Heuer watch) on the caseback. This doesn't. If David (Calibre 11) says it is not a Heuer, it probably is not.

Almost anyone could have made this watch. Switzerland is full of houses that will encase watches for contract. The inside of the caseback may have some clues... maybe.

Well donkey biscuits, it only say 'Tourneau Swiss' on the inside. I love watches, and I have a lot to learn. What year does this watch look like to you? Early 80's? I was in diapers in the early 80's so I wouldn't know. Were all Tourneau watches "poor man's" watches back then??

Thanks for insight!
