Which one do you like more and why ? Heyne is a bit more expensive, but still comparable in price.

Numerals, dial design, layout, hands are all better on ALS. Also prefer there gold color of the ALS better than the Heyne. Also absolutely hate the horns on the Heyne - strap nightmare.

ALS will also hold its value - not sure that matters but just a bonus

 The 'Freddie III' has more eye appeal to me and as far as the strap issue, have that one, you could afford to have
a dozen spares.

The hands on the L&H are way too fussy for my taste.

ALS, because it has more reasonable case size 38-40mm, i.e. 1815 Chronograph has 39.5x10.8mm. Lang & Heyne Friedrich August basic 3 hand has 43mm diameter and good luck to find its thickness anywhere. Maybe it is watch making art to design a thinner dress watch, cramping all those components in limited space and still work in harmony.

My preference would be the A Lange & Söhne 1815. As to why? Its overall aesthetics is more to my style than the Lang & Heyne's Friedrick III.

Does the subdial overlap of the 6 numeral on the LS bother anyone else? I keep picturing that scene from wizard of oz where the house falls on the witch.

Both are nice, prefer the LS slightly more.
