Depends on what I was buying it for.
More of a dress watch? The PF
More for an everyday watch? ALS
I do not have the feeling the Lange works that well as an everyday watch. (The other too, probably) for an active life.
Not very nice to be bumped around and services in Lange are not friendly to the wallet.
Scratches will be more annoying than in a steel (sports) watch.

Looks like both movements are great; finished to a high standard. I think I would lean toward the ALS for two reasons: (1) It appears slightly more interesting to me - just my personal opinion, and (2) I much prefer having a minutes track (so that it can be set precisely).

There's no wrong answer, though. You have excellent taste.

Looks-wise, the ALS looks more classical while the PF looks more modern probably because it has a cleaner aesthetic? Both looks do appeal to me though.

I prefer the ALS. But this is primarily due to its known history and reputation. In the event there is a need to sell or trade it, I imagine owning the ALS will be more advantageous (or less disadvantageous) than owning the PF.

Good luck whichever OP chooses! :)

The real reason to get the ALS is the Sax-O-Mat movement. It has zero-reset hacking seconds and a hand-finished rotor in 21k gold and has a platinum mass. By far the better buy.

For me, personally, I prefer the ALS. I do not like red gold on my skin tone, which is already kinda pink (I’m very fair). I also prefer the ALS because it has automatic winding. It doesn’t look like the PF has that. If you are wearing the watch every day, you may come to appreciate the automatic winding ALS. But if red gold looks flattering with your skin tone and you wear it occasionally for special occasions, the PF may be a joy to wind and to interact with.
