Hi -

I really wish I could embed this here, but don't know how.

But go take a look at this:

http://share.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=12480

to see my FrankenA-11 in its glory. It's a 63 MP image (7852 x 8027 pixels, to be exact) that I can't figure out any other way of sharing. It was done with an Olympus E-510 with a Leica Macro-Elmar 100mm f4 lens, reproduction ration 1:1 for each of the 16 images (that's right, this is a mosaic), in a home-made light box...

I really like that one, John. :-!

The only way I know to "capture" that photo is to open your photo software, go back to the image as you'd like to see it and press the "Print Screen" key on your keyboard. Go back to your photo software and click Edit/Paste. Then just save the photo and upload it as you would any other. ;-) At least that's how I steal pictures. :-d

Thanks for sharing. :-! JohnF
Really, really cool pic. All these " mumbo jumbo " (I think it is ancient "english") about cameras and photos is fascinating.

Sorry for asking, but I´ve been " out of order " for a while .
The watch is a Franken military??

John's reference here is to a "frankenwatch," derived from "Frankenstein," meaning a watch that has been assembled using parts that were not original to that watch or that model of watch. :)

Hi -

Actually, I wanted to embed the zoomable pictures here. The rest I know. :)

embed the html to do a zoomer window... you might be able to capture it from a page that already does it.

Hi -

They have code, but it only works for html/blogs, not for forum software. Cut and pasted their example, didn't work in the preview, so I let it be...

Hi -

So did I when I bought it. :-( I researched it before buying it and there were some online references that claimed it to be legit, but I found out here that it's not, since the movements were first made in 1952. Live and learn...

Didn't pay tooooo much, though, and it remains a nice watch to wear, albeit a tad small in today's world.
