So, ideally i would want a Heuer Siffert (or the reissue). One major thing that i love about it is the sky/baby blue colored second hand.

I was thinking of other watches with similarly colored seconds hand and could only think of the Prototipo and vintage omega Seamaster 120. The latter is a little out of budget for now and the Prototipo would be a nice watch, but I prefer mechanicals (especially when a quart like this one costs >500$).

Any idea's for nice watches with similar styling and color seconds hand? Not necessarily looking for that exact panda/chrono style although i do love that. No invicta etc styled watch suggestions please!

I miss my blue handed Prototipo a lot. They are nice watches. I want to get it back at some point. One sold for $330 9n ebay recently, wish I would have snatched it up, but saw after the fact.

Vratislavia Conceptum announced a Siffert styled model coming soon.

There are also some Poljot Aviator's with a "sweeping" light blue second hand for very reasonable prices.

Damasko also has models with the light blue hand.

Ha! Thanks for posting my ad Goody! I saw the thread title and thought, "Man, I love light blue, but that Certina is one of the few I have ever seen on a men's watch!"

A little out of the range of my definition of "affordable," but the first watch I thought of when I read the title was this one:

Someone posted a Halios Bluering today. Never heard of it and appears to be discontinued. Might be worth searching for secondhand though...looked cool.

One of the Victorinox Officer's models that was recently discontinued did have one that's pretty close if you are OK with it being shiny. The primary model was 241673, I believe but it came in lots of variants and packages with and without a knife in a gift set.

It's find-able, but you may have to hunt to find a fair price.

Light and dark dial, bracelet/non-- there were a few variants as well:

The replacement watch has a blue seconds hand but it's darker and IMHO the watch as a whole is not as attractive.

Poljot Traveller 24 chrono:

Also available without the 24h subdial and date window at 6.
Yeah i knew that one actually! Nice piece, prefer it bicompax too, but what does set me off most is the weird style and unnecessary text in blue...
The text doesn't bother me, the cities on the bezel does though. Never been a fan of that. Swap that for a 12 hour bezel and it would look great.

I've been watching the Reissue Sifferts on ebay and I think two have went for around $1500 when in auction. May be worth considering. Much better than $3k.
