I know this isn't exactly watch related, but it's close.

I have had bad luck for years with alarm clocks. I have an 'atomic' digital right now that's 10 minutes slow with no way to correct the time, only time zone. But I'm sick of cheap
S:-x:-x:-x:-xy alarm clocks from walmart. I want a nice one. But not a stupid nice one, just a nice alarm clock. No radio, no cd player, no fancy options. Just a time, an alarm time, and a snooze with buttons that can take abuse from my heavy morning hand. And loud.

So...
what kind of alarm clocks do you folks have?

My everyday Alarm is a Tissot T-touch.
i used to have a Braun alarm clock, but the T-touch is more versatile.

no.

i'm talking about on the night stand by the bed, i can whack it with my hand and it still works after years of abuse.

a plug in the wall alarm clock. not a watch.

the braun on the other hand... hmmm... looks nice. is it tough?

I use my cell phone for an alarm. But I don't throw it or throw things at it. When it rings, I get up and turn it off.

That is exactly the reason I use the T-touch. Small enough to avoid hitting.
The Braun did not like being pushed down on the floor.
But apart from that, it was a good clock.

well, if i got the t touch my wife would probably kill me. we'd miss our mortgage plus some with that beauty. i'm fairly poor, don't know if i mentioned that. ;)

teachers don't make a whole lot in arkansas.

BUT, i did use my cell phone for a long time, but it's starting to show wear from being slammed and flipped and mashed and whatnot.

so... i'll check out think geek and hopefully find something cool.

Most jewellers that carry watches also carry alarm clocks.

heh heh. have you ever been to hot springs, arkansas? nobody has ANYTHING here. the only place to get an alarm clock is at the big box stores. and those are so cheap or so expensive (with cd players and fancy lights and whatnot) that i'm just not interested.

so i'm left with the internet as my main place to shop.

you have no idea how awful it is to live in a state that has no good stores to shop at.
