Ok, I got the pics of the Milsub. Almost a week since I had it and it's going well. It's on an olive drab Nato strap

Next to my Seiko 5

So far, all is good. There seems to be slight fraying on my Nato strap. Maybe a little heat will keep it from getting worse.

This watch is one that kept me worrying if it will fail or not. I really hope it lasts a couple years and I hope I don't regret buying that Casio.

That looks superb on the olive NATO. Like they were made for each other. Great watch!

I had a terrible dream last night. I rubbed the bezel and the black color rubbed off like it was wet paint. This watch sure makes me anxious since I want it to last quiet a bit.

Here's an update on the watch since I got it more than a week ago:

  • It seems to gain ~1 minute every two days and has been precise in that sense. It doesn't bother me since I reset the time every few days. I'd rather have a watch run fast than slow or I'll miss my train. Better early than late :)
  • The lume isn't as bad as folks say. The hands lume work for 5 hours at which I could read the time although it was faint and maybe not that bright. The hour marks don't hold the lume for more than 15 minutes, maybe less.
  • The bezel turns smoothly and with nice clicks though I don't use it. At some point, maybe 10 clicks in, it has difficulty turning to the next position and grinds very slightly. After that point it is fine.

One of my favorite watches by Alpha USA.

I took of the metal bracelet from my Alpha GMT and it fits like a charm. |>

Looks good on that NATO. I actually put mine back on the strap that it came with. It is my only NATO. I had it on a Bond Zulu for quite a while, but I guess I had to change it up a bit.

A week after I received my Milsub I was happy enough with it that I ordered this one from HK. I might even try it on the bracelet from the GMT.
