hi all,

2 weeks ago, when the first of the 2 strap loop broke on my Ambit2, I knew the fall of the 2nd one would be imminent.

Last friday, the 2nd broke :(

I could go to my local retail store where I bought the Ambit2 but they will tell me they have to send it to Suunto for repair. I have a holiday in 1 month and I plan to do some nice cycling and would really miss the watch. Do you think I will get it back in time ? if not, I would wait to return from holiday before sending it. Or maybe the retail store will just exchange it for a new ambit ??

IMO, just buy a bag of O rings from your hardware store. When I got my Ambit2 I removed the second keeper and replaced it with an O ring. I use this all the time (Casio, Suunto) because I have small wrists and usually have extra strap dangling around. The O ring keeps everything tidy and is super sturdy. The secret is getting the right size from your local hardware store.
