Hi all – I spied a Triumph fashion watch described as sporting an ‘automatic swiss movement, 18jewels’ and indeed had this engraved on the rotor too, (and yes, the dial had the words “swiss made” for whatever that is worth)...

Problem is, what 18j swiss movement exists for a hour-min-second-day dial? As far I as I can dig up, no ETA fits the bill. And no Sellita movement fits the bill.

So what does that leave?

Probably a Claro-Semag or something of that ilk.

Good chance it is chinese. Some other brand uses an 18 jewel "swiss" movement that is very close to one of the chinese movements.
