Hi!

Is there anybody there? Sorry to bother you. I've got to confess.

First thing first: I'm not a diver, I'm even water phobic when there's more than a bath tub --I don't even drown my pastis or raki withit--. So what?

Anyway, who the hell would dive with a chest or a Sd.Kfz. 171 aka Panther on his arm? Such a fool has a single ticket to the bottom.

That's the point: I DON'T CARE.

Seriously, when I first saw this Seiko... not love at first sight but something very carnal instead. There are many nice rounded as cushion watches 100m Seiko, Omega Seamasters or Planet Ocean, some Rolex.

That's the second point: they are all the same (please, don't smash in the face...).

But, waow, it's 43x14mm! I'm tall and (very) thin. My wrists are like Jonah Lomu's fingers... drop it, boy, I said.

It's like, you know, with the pretty gal in the neighborhood you don't even dare to look at, thinking this one is not for you... you're not the one, forget it! Stick your head in ashes... And someday, she turns and ask for a light or if you can help her finding her missing cat. Who? Me? Heeer... Yes, m'am!

What ever... you are all thinking: this guy is nuts, nevrotic. Pathetic.

Might be. So what?

Last week I'was browsing in Harold's gallery... the man Yobokies who mods watches somewhere in Hong-Kong.
She looked at me and winked at me. I thought: "Nah, it's not your day, it's just a picture, she'll vanish when you'll get closer to touch her... Pfffit! Sucker!" Harold told me: "Didier, she's real, she's here waiting for you."

So, here she came.

She stripped...

... she got naked.

When we'll have a hug, she'll break me. She's built like a East-German swimmer... argh, dying in her arms!

Red nail varnish...

I kneeled, kissed her feet... wrapped them in rhino zulu...

Make my day, she said.

Indeed, should I try to practice scuba diving and fight back the evil with the evil?

Be sure I had to write a real review, I'll make it right, on the serious side.

If you want me to soften this post for the community's sake, it's not a problem.

No no need. It was funny.
It was the intention, changing a bit the usual mood of short unpacking reviews and spot how boys/men sometimes feel or comprehend their car, motorbikes or anything else you want.

Just expect the rest of the members to give you a bit of a friendly ribbing.
No problem for coming jokes, I'll try not to take it face value (a good way to improve my English). :)

I added a case back picture.

It reminds me a poem by the mexican Octavio Paz called "My Life with the Wave".

[...] Entered in her waters, I was drenched to the socks and in a wink of an eye I found myself up above, at the height of vertigo, mysteriously suspended, to fall like a stone and feel myself gently deposited on the dryness, like a feather.
Nothing is comparable to sleeping in those waters, to wake pounded by a thousand happy light lashes, by a thousand assaults that withdrew laughing.[...]

Re: An other SBDA001 Samurai (strap update)

Searching a nice thick leather strap, I was browsing Panatime's 22mm page and I saw it. Astonished, like a poultry staring a cigarette butt as we say here in Froggiesland. I was 100% sure she will like it.

I know, python things are mostly worn by pimps or bling show-off persons... neither am I. So what?

By the way, Panatime provided fast answer to pre-sale question and standard rate overseas delivery to EU took 7 days.

Oh my fricking hooolie goolies and flibberty-gibblers. I thought I had seen it all... Why not just tie a pythion around your wrist and ask it the time?

Please mods, make a sticky of this somewhere, I don't know where, certainly not in this subforum, but SOMEWHERE!!! Everybody, from the nooest noob to the oldest and WISest WIS, must see this strap / watch combo.

I tried with the live one I got, but this poor fellow was deaf-mute, couldn't use the sign-language...

Anyway, it was not so easy to carry mice to feed it. They run all around, out of the pocket to your shoulders... For the snake and its food, an old woman of my customers had a heart-failure. Is that a fashion victim?

Then, if you meet a guy that wear a watch with elephant strap --I mean, a talking elephant that is not deaf-mute-- it could be frightened by the mice... this would really be a mess. Colateral damage.

This guy has chosen the hard way cause he has to carry coconuts for his elephant, that destroys all his suit's pockets... I'd rather keep my python.

About the red tipped sweep, someone on the french forum Montre de Plongée dot net had it done first.
Though, he didn't dare a frog strap... in french scuba diver is "homme-grenouille".

Oh well, thanks a lot I was just sitting down to a good few hours on the computer and your unexpected watch and erotic writing made me ______________________________... The _________ should be thanking YOU for the chance to _______________________ :). Proves there is heaven which fills me with hope - I mean if a damn snake gets THAT as a reward the good humans on this earth must get... well... wowowo, maybe I'll just take the knife to my wrist now (ok that was a joke I wouldn't do that)?

Serious, I love the look of that watch, but it's like marrying a supermodel - it's superficial. I could not stand her bad accuracy, and I doubt she could cook that well... but she will be a good match for someone - maybe somone one who likes a fine piece of art straight from the God's art special reserve drawer.

Enjoy, bonsoir, Claudio.

Ciao Claudio,

This ____________ snake has given the apple to Adam & Eve, has he? ;-) He's got what he desserves.

About its accuracy, +60'/7 days is fairly good for such a industrial calibre and would be better when adjusted like my SNK809 Military.
This time, I'll get it done by a local watchmaker because I don't want to mess opening a waterproof case ten times when doing it manually. He'll then proof the water resistance (even if Harold, aka Yobokies, does his best when opening a watch, I'll be sure the Sammy is really waterproof).

About living with a topmodel (or any good looking girl) your point of view is fair right (except the cooking, I do my cooking and sew my cloth) but you'll only know the way along : wearing jeans and tee-shirts (NATO or Zulu), classic dress (her titanium bracelet) or wild dress (leather, reptile's skin), tennis or court shoes whatever, if she doesn't mind her make-up and better make her mind up... only time will confirm that.

In any case, owning a tool not to really use it (a diver only to deskdive etc.) is anyway a pitty...

I too adore the Seiko Samurai,i have three of them......not sure i like Sammi on Sammi the Snake though. The Samurai is such a 'different' looking watch that maybe it just draws 'different' looking straps to it. Got to admit,i think i did make a mistake with my 'different' looking strap......Sammi the Snake, meet 'Tony the Tiger, lol. -Andy

Great post. I was chuckling while reading it. As a Navy man...everything that is mechanical is a 'she' to me also.

Enjoy! I have the blue Sami and love it.
