The Casio F91W seems to be the default recommendation when someone wants a cheap and durable watch. It’s reputation has made it somewhat of a watch icon.

What do you think is the analog watch equivalent of the F91W?

My view MRW-200H is the best analog varient, its slightly more expensive at $20 or so compared to MQ24 but it looks like a dive watch can take a beating and has great legibility, at 43 mm it wears more like a 40mm perfect but unlike a duro its complete resin weight probably 50

gms or so. I can tell you with my personal experience after 2 battery changes and one strap change in 9 years it still works like a charm. Also has tons of colors to choose from if you dont like the black one.

Don't forget you need an alarm, date, and chronograph.

Assuming you don't want to go ana-digi, I think the cheapest quartz modules with these features are Miyota 0S80 (most recently available in the Dan Henry 1972) and Seiko 7T32 (common in the Flightmaster).

If you want to go mechanical, it looks like this Fortis Aeromaster is the cheapest way to go:

If you want to get picky, the Casio's 593 module almost has a perpetual calendar (only 28 days in Feb. every year).

And I don't know if any full analog watches have an hourly chime.
