You don't see many with box and papers, so I guess that would be a giveaway.

Well no, actually the seller did his part. The watch was delivered to my buddy in CA and he forwarded it to me across the pond to Europe. At this stage it went missing.
I waited for extended 10 weeks due to the post strike in Germany thinking it might affect, but after 4 months now there is no way that it turns up somewhere.It's also not returned to sender, so I guess I just live with it. Pity...

That is a gut wrenching story, I'm really sorry to hear that this happened, was there any tracking on the package your friend sent? Perhaps you could begin an investigation into the postal workers that handled the package?
