These are some numbers I've compiled from around the internet for approximate annual production, i know the numbers aren't quite accurate for some but it's the best I could do, feel free to make changes by copying and editing (bolding what you updated) below.
It was simply out of curiosity and the lack of a better source.

Zenith used to be around 30,000 per year, they're now trying to get it over 50,000.

Smart to think about it.
Most of the buyers have no clue
Rolex ca 3300 every day!
The few watchmakers at the factory will only work on high end watches?
Standard Steel Watches are produced by machines.
Exclusiveness?
Mass production!

Great thread and great work! Hopefully other informed people will chime in with additional numbers (as Watchbreath and Mike Stuffler have done).

Thanks!

Lots of new info for me - so thanks again. My biggest surprise - IWC at only 30K pieces last year.

Well, the FHS reports about 26 million units were exported in 2010....

Cool list, I thought AP made a high number of watches. I know 26k isn't exactly a small count, but was thinking closer to Rolex numbers.

It would be interesting to see how Seiko, Citizen and Casio rank in terms of production. My understanding is that their volume numbers are not released.

Although I've always seen Rolex numbers around 700,000 to 800,000 ( versus 1M stated above), I agree it's a still a lot of watches. However one can't really question the quality too much considering they are virtually all COSC certified.

However I would apply your comment to other expensive brands such as Omega as they only certify a fraction of their output.

P.S. I realize COSC doesn't mean everything, but it does ensure a certain level of quality

Further to this, how many of higher end Japanese watches are made... like Grand Seiko, Credor, Antana.

I used those numbers in compiling, but tried to use what was more recent whenever possible.
It's difficult to get absolute numbers since the numbers fluctuate too greatly with the economy.

Rolex was estimated from 800,000-1,000,000 (I guess it fluctuates too much to tell)
It'd be interesting if someone can get numbers for the Japanese.
And also swatch (the brand, not the group) would be greatly appreciated too.

Could you provide the source of these numbers? Now it is just a list of numbers without any way to check reliability.
