I'm interested in the ruthenium dial on the Bathys 100 Fathoms. It's hard to see the color in photos. I understand it's gray brown with some iridescence. Is it attractive? I'm thinking of getting it with the silver pvd. Are there any drawbacks?

Also, I have a 6.75 wrist and am wondering if the short band would be appropriate. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I've never owned the watch, so I can't post pics. However, I DO have the same wrist size as you. I have figured out that the best strap length for my wrist is 80/115mm. That's 80mm for the buckle side (the part that attaches to the 12:00 side of the watch case) and 115mm for the side with all the buckle holes. I suggest emailing Bathys to see what the measurments of the short strap are before you buy it.

If your wrist is under 7", I'd definitely go with the shorter band. Regarding the dial color, there's no brown in there at all. It's an iridescent gray that looks almost black in low light and is shimmery silver in bright light. A lighter colored strap brings out the silver color IMO. Overall, one of the best watches I've owned & the dial is great.

Lots of pics here and in the Bathys image gallery at the top of the forum:
