hi

Been looking at these recently are they any good or are they the usual Chinese jobbies

Russian mechanical watch RAKETA 24 hour dial (produce for polar explorer, submariner and other)
manual winding
duration of action - 40-h
Dimentions: 40 mm x 11 mm
Case - stainless alloy neusilber
Movement- 17 Ruby jewels
18mm at the lugs (a leather band is included)
Dial design: POLAR
Made in Russia-USSR (St.Petersburg). The factory was closed in the mid of 90th.

At £29 they are well cheap.

look like the real one to me. inside you have a excellent mechanism, but I agree with Watchbreath that this is not an easy one to read. If you want to get a Raketa, I would recommend getting the Pilot1 model instead:

This is one of the best 24 hour dials I have ever seen and you can find them on ebay for about 40-50 bucks. I have two of these and they are terrific looking watches, in particular if put on a good metal bracelet.

I actually like the face design on this model, particularly the clarity of the hour numbers. I like to have all of the numbers, and of course the bonus is it has 0 instead of 24.

Mine has a blue background. There are several colours out there, and some have a red second hand.
