I think the thing to decide is what you want your collection to be.

Focused on (for example) a style, a movement type, a make, a material, a complication, a country of origin or a range of uses...

I have decided to go for a range for every occurrence; a dress watch, a daily wearer, a beater, an exercise/activity watch and a couple of sentimental pieces. Any addition to my collection would likely be a GMT, chronograph or moon phase watch.
Yea i want to have Atleast 1 for every occasion, but idw to just have looks I want quality, I know I can't afford tag, omega, breitling or the big brands but i wanted to see what other brands I can go for?
Well, I'll be the first to say that at any given price point Seiko offers very good value, and a range of products. G-Shock for a beater?

A couple of ideas for quality, respected pieces that will fill a couple of spaces in a collection and not break the bank..
Thank you, for that I've seen some seiko which have caught my eye, but thanks for that
I think the best advice I can give you is to trust yourself and collect pieces you love. Don't base your collection on what others tell you to buy otherwise it is not really your collection is it.You say you don't have the money to buy high quality but high quality doesn't always have to be exspensive. There are quite a few companies that offer good quality for a good price. If you shop wisely you can get some nice pieces some of which are Swiss Made. Take a look at companies like Hamilton,Tissot and Steinhart all make very good quality watches at a good value. I also would encourage you to look at the preowned market here and at other forums, you can find a piece that you would not consider buying new at a deeply dicounted price. I hope this helps.

You can collect whatever watches you like, only you can decide what you like. I would classify yours as a fashion watch collection. They look cool but they would be little or no interest to a watch enthusiast. You dont have to spend big bucks to get into this hobby - lots of quality stuff out there that is inexpensive. Keep reading through this site and you will learn.

From your pictures, I would recommend buying some lights or paying your power bill.

Collect what you like. You'll find that your tastes will change down the road and you'll start selling some to get the new ones you like.
what reputable watch brand can u recommend???

Well i have my collection, nd just started this, I love watches but it can be hard to pick from a lot of variety out there, I have fashion watches but I want get in to quality, durability, basically a watch that has value, I wanted to see if u can name watch brands that are reputable as far as good quality, it can be any from German, Russian watches, I just want to know some good brands out there, it would mean alot!:)

Re: what reputable watch brand can u recommend???

There are dozens of great brands, but I'll rattle off a few that I think almost all watch collectors agree on. I'm not including what I call "exotic" watches because pretty much all the big names there are great but extraordinarily expensive and, unless you say your price range is like 15,000+, they're not worth going into (this includes Breguet, A. Lange and so on).

Grand Seiko
JLC
Zenith

I'd say those are the three brands that come up all the time for having universally high quality. They're the triumvirate of win.

Here are some other great ones:

Glashutte Original
Nomos (great on a budget)
Higher end IWCs
Omega
Rolex
Seiko (Ananta, Brightz, etc, the high-end Seikos below Grand Seiko)

Re: what reputable watch brand can u recommend???

Well, I'd start to flick through the various fora we have, there is a German Watches Forum and there is a Russian Watches Forum. The more you read the more you know. Not knowing your price range it's hard to give any rec. You asked about Android, maybe you should also flick through our Affordable Watches Forum.
Re: what reputable watch brand can u recommend???

I would say the first thing to consider is how much you are willing to part with for a watch. It would help us if we had an idea of this to suggest clearer ideas. You could try posting in the affordables forum, but if you're ready to take a leap, you can start to think about what direction you want to go in. As you might be able to see, my collection doesn't really have a firm structure, but I buy the pieces that I love. I have a penchant for chronographs so there will be more of those and the divers offer me some versatility.

Generally, you could choose to base you collection on a number of factors. For example, country of origin, manufacturer, watch type or even a particular period in time. The biggest watch-producing countries are perhaps Switzerland, Germany and Japan with others including Italy, Russia and lately, Britain.

Watch types could be divided into perhaps dive watches, military watches, drivers' chronographs and pilots' watches. Some pieces with cross over into different categories but this is where personal preference can come into play.

The hardest part might be choosing the actual brand, which is heavily budget dependent. Reasonably prices watches that I know of include: Seiko, Citizen, Poljot, Hamilton, Nomos, Mondaine, Tissot and Nite for some ideas. Another option is to investigate vintage watches at auction or elsewhere. Military field watches and dress pieces can often be found at surprisingly reasonable estimates and could form the basis for a well-resolved collection.

Re: what reputable watch brand can u recommend???

You seem to gravitate towards fashion watches, which is fine if you like them. If you're asking me what to look at as you "mature" into watch collecting (please don't take that as offensive, it was not meant to be), a few nice places to look are: Seiko, Citizen, and Orient. The big Asian brands offer great value versus the German and Swiss brands.

They've very collectible and you can buy watches from these manufacturers from under $100 to over $10,000. Quartz watches will typically be cheaper, but you may find you like the interesting movements of automatics (I like both).

Good luck, have fun, and buy what "you" like.

Re: what reputable watch brand can u recommend???

From the pictures you've posted above, like what other fellow brudders here had observed, it seems that you're more towards fashion designs that classic or boring practical designs. Hence. i would guess that your budget would be limited below 250USD.

The only watch that i see, the costly one if i'm not wrong, should be that K.C.

The first nicer brand I got into was Tissot. They have a lot of nice offerings and are sort of an entry brand to the Swiss watch brands. If you compare these watches to the brands you currently have, I promise you will see the difference in quality. Tissot is also very respected among watch enthusiasts, if that's important to you, and will start you on your way to a nice collection.
Well i wouldnt hesitate to spend up to 600 on a watch at the moment, and I'm lookin for watches that have a good name and also looks and quality, the watches I have most likely is fashion, so if u throw me names with those factors it would be great, nd out my collection the pricy 1 was the jojo watch
Start here and look what watch/brand calls your name: Watchuseek.com l List of Watch manufacturers
Brands I consider to be good values (my preference is swiss mechanical): Tissot, Hamilton, Raymond Weil, Longines, Mido, Oris, Frederique Constant. Between these brands, you can find wide a variety of styles.

Good luck and enjoy "the pursuit". Always fun to plan and look forward to your next acquisition!
