Great I just got home , I thought I had seen one somewhere . I like the red also and was on the verge of getting one and I see one somewhere else and I am not sure I could get on with the bevelled crystal . Having said that I did not think the price was to bad . If I find a wrist shot I will post it . Hope you find one . Cheers .DW.

not a fan of them. i don't think the "cut angles" add anything to the looks. i guess it refracts light a little bit more, but meh. seems a bit gimmicky. iirc they use folded steel links and a quartz movement.

I case you were still curious, here's mine:


I like it overall. The dial has some nice details and the watch is light and sits comfortably. I find the crystal interesting but a bit distracting at times. I think it would have been better if the dial had been patterned into sections instead of cutting the crystal. I'm not sure, but it looks like that's how they made the 3-hand models in the Neo 70's collection. It would probably have been difficult to do though with a chrono dial.

They added a couple of colours and called them Neo70 Focus Bright. That's the orange one. I remember seeing these when I was browsing in Yodobashi Camera in Fukuoka in April - it was the cut glass that caught my eye. I think I'm going to order the other "Bright" model in blue.

I don't think you will be disappointed, it really is a nice watch especially considering the price. The only thing I would wish for is a better bracelet (like on the Mako), this one has folded links. On the other hand, it makes the combi quite light in weight. I will put mine on leather for the winter though.

I am torn between the Green (yours) and the brownish-grey... and the light blue with gold markers.
If you saw all of them, then clearly you preferred the Green?

This model I only saw online but I am familiar with Orient, their designs and their approach to things so I'm pretty confident I will not be disappointed. The pricetag also allows me to take a "risk" to buy without seeing the actual object.

The green one was the first version I saw and I really liked it so I stuck with it in my mind but I also like the red a lot but I decided on the green because I thought it would be a little easier to combine it with other straps/ clothing etc. I like the brown version too but the bolder colours scream a more seventies to me.

Either way you can't go wrong, really. Even the gold marker versions (for the Asian market only??) are fun. Whatever you choose you'll get something that sticks out in a fun and retro way.
