The official info says the band is made of Nylon/Resin. At first I thought it was an 1-piece, something like this... WRONG! The band is some kinda woven fabric (aramid?) with resin reinforcement in the middle & it's 2-piece. Here's a small pic of the GW-002K special edition in Japan, the regular American version has resin strap retainer.
I should be able to get better pix after the holiday... santasmile
