every day this site has sales on watches and i would like to know if anyone would know if they are reliable.

I have my eye on this fossil watch that is on sale right now. the watch is fossil me1037. it is a quartz/automatic.
another question is how does a quartz/automatic work?

The closest thing i can think of is Seiko's Kinetic line which uses a pendulum to recharge a battery that runs a quarts movement. The Seiko version is very tough and very reliable... dunno about what Fossil is using though-

Doesn't Tissot have a auto/quartz watch available?

The fossil autos dont use an automatic movement to keep time. it uses a quartz movement to move the hands of the watch. the automatic portion is to make the little faux skeleton wing-ding portion on the dial move for you to see. its just for show. im not knockin it, i think some of em look cool, and i actually own one. just thought i would clear that up for you.
