There has been an unforeseen apocalyptic event (probably zombies). Earth is a chaotic wasteland and your primary goal is survival.
Oh, no. Forget the weapons. You couldn't possibly leave your Watch.

What watch would you choose to be your trusty timepiece in these terrible times?

Post the name, a photo if you can, and explain why.

This is a for fun post. Why not? It's nice to mess around now and again.
I'd be fascinated to see what the watchuseek community thinks the most reliable
(it doesn't have to, but probably will be) watches are.

As always feel free to post watches you've owned, own or would like to own, whether you can afford it or not!

oh, and feel free to make your own apocalypse story for you and your watch. :D

I'm going to have to keep my guns because I will have to get mine since I don't own it. I won't care what my watch looks like when fighting zombies so I'm going with a solar atomic G-Shock. Even though I've never owed one everyone says they are impossible to kill. Don't know if this one is solar or atomic but it looks cool.

A perpetual calendar Eco-Drive in one wrist and a three hand Rolex in the other.

The Citizen keeps accurate time for many years, and if zombies are still around by the time its capacitor kicks the bucket, chances are the Rolex is still ticking. You wouldn't care about the date and year at that point anyway.

Where I'm going, I'm not gonna need a watch.
This is false in every possible scenario I can think off. As for my the watch I would take my pocket watch which has a shotgun complication on it :-d

The same one Rick wears in The Walking Dead (although we have no clue what it is). It stays 1 minute to 12 constantly I supposed to remind us that if something like that happens, time is really irrelevant.

"That is my choice as an actor. It's Rick's father's watch that he's given to him. I don't actually wear a watch myself, but I do think that any real memento from the past is vital to people who are so destitute. The watch I wear on set is broken -- it stays at one minute to 12. Someone changed it and made it work -- I was like, "No, it should not work! Leave it at one minute to 12." It's very doomsday."

The above photo is of Bahnhofstrasse, Zürich which is easily the most expensive stretch of retail real estate in the world. Or it would be if the two major banks in Switzerland (Credit Suisse and UBS) didn't own and price their respective headquarters on Paradeplatz at exactly *one* Swiss Frank each, which rather dilutes things a bit. By the way, that's not a joke. Just a subtle Swiss way of saying "beyond a price".

Anyways, in the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse I rather fancy my chances "visiting" each watch shop on turn and picking up a few "bargains" from the many Bahnhofstrasse flagship stores including Cartier, IWC, Bucherer (you wouldn't believe what they have) and (yawn) Omega. Might need a Hummer to carry 'em all back to the bunker.
