Removed the AR from my PO this am. I had previously done this on a Sinn 756 (the "test" subject) successfully.
I found the smudges and purple hue which the AR caused/accentuated annoying as hell.
The process simply involved jewlers rouge (green/powdered), a cotton cloth and "elbow grease" (rubbing with thumb).
My concern with the PO was the bezel, which the Sinn didn't have. I took the time to mask the bezel (masking tape cut in short lengths).
Took 45 minutes total: 11 to mask the bezel, 30 to "rub off" AR and 4 to clean up the watch.

Can you post some pics?

I hate the thought of doing this, but I know some day I'll scratch the AR coating beyond what I can tolerate and will have to undertake the same project.

I'd love to see how yours came out.
