Yeah I got scammed by a watch flipper from Queensland called Christophe Britton. He owed me $2500 and gave me this watch plus $300. I found out afterwards he only paid $1995 for the watch. Keep an eye out for this guy lads.

Why?

Not sure if I'm using the proper terminology but the 12 o'clock index was slightly misaligned with the chapter marker. It was barely noticeable but once I saw it I couldn't unsee it. I knew it would bug me so I decided to wait until I found an example that was aligned.

Did you pass originally due to a quality issue or just weren't quite convinced yet?

I needed no convincing...I've been chomping at the bit to pick up this Uemura/Willard re-issue. I passed because of a very minor quality issue.

Small sample I know but pretty good timekeeping so far per watch tracker app. It's worn about 16 hrs. per day and rested dial up.

More like people angry they couldn't afford the SLA033 with its retail price and limited availability.

I don't even understand why SLA033 owners would be angry at a cheaper model that's even farther away from the original, if anything they should be cheering that the cheap model is so much worse lmao!

He, like me I believe, didn't come access angry in the least; he stated factual differences (longer vertically/less round like the 6105 and not quite 43mm, higher crown position. I will say - if I couldn't have afforded my SLA033 - I'd be angry about the scimpy cases, thick hour hand, cheap looking indices. It's a shame it looks more like a 6309 than the 6105. I'm just being honest.

It's doesn't look anything like a 6105. It's shaped like a SRP, considerably smaller and it's crown looks nothing like a 6105's; it's just a basic crown SEIKO yanked off all the dead SKXs laying around. Oh, and said crown sits at 3:49 - maybe :50 at most?! Granted, I've never held one of these watches. I do own, love and never take off my SLA033. I've had her since late '19 and it does look like 6105. Honestly, had I not been able to afford her at the time (I would've found a way), I would've been very disappointed with these "modern interpretations" of a vintage design. Modern-day SEIKO has released, as we say here in the south, a half-assed interpretation that men will have to accept. That's just my opinion.
