There was a Rolex line called the Rolex Orchid. This appears to be something either real or fake that is from the Orchid line. I have never seen this particular version of the Orchid. I have never seen that case back on an Orchid. I have never seen the Hong Kong movement before. I can not tell you if it's a real watch or not but someone familiar with Rolex quartz watches could tell you if that movement was ever used, or the movement could have been placed there by someone who serviced the watch. That's all I know. Good luck with it, find a qualified vintage Rolex dealer or send to Rolex for authentication.

Seen this at a Philips auction before. It was in the jeweled section with the Choperd and Audemar Piglets. Didn’t break any records but Christy’s might have sold some too.

Ah yes, the highly sought after, double location manufactured Geneva-Hong Kong Rolex. Very rare. In fact, this is the only one I’ve ever seen

Looks like it needs a service though so be sure to contact Rolex. These older models only use Rolithium batteries

@wwdd23
Are you really serious?
Even if you are very weak in geography, it should be clear that a movement with "HONGKONG" written on it CANNOT be a Swiss quartz movement, as it is claimed on the engraving on the back.

I think Rolex quartz models were only date-just and day-dates, neither of which fits the description of this amazing piece you have managed to find.

I look forward to your next "is this real" post.
