Hi,

I can buy this Seiko for 65 pounds (second handed) and I want to know if the watch isn't a replica.
It has made in Japan on the front and back. I think this will be a good deal if it's original.

Thanks!

Here some pictures:

Looks authentic to me. I had the blue dial version but prefer the look of the black that you are thinking about buying. I wouldn't worry about it being fake because this watch would be too expensive to counterfeit due to the internal compass bezel and low cost/demand. It's a really nice, well finished watch for the price they are going for used. I just never bonded with it due to the compass bezel. In case you didn't know, the compass bezel turns very easily.

Thanks a lot for the quick replies!

I have the blue fifty five fathoms. It's a great watch but now this opportunity comes by.
This isn't a new watch (with minor scratches) but so beautiful I can't let it go for that kind of money.

Looks real to me.
You can stop the compass bezel moving too easily by putting a tiny loop of dental floss or ptfe tape behind the bezel crown.
A lot of watch for £65, go for it and enjoy.
