Sorry for the link. I can't figure out how to save the photos to my CPU. I would like the community advise on the authenticity of this antique IWC. I've been getting interested in 1900ish IWC pieces but know little to nothing about them. This would be my first purchase. Please advise.

well at the least, it's a pocket watch in a new wrist watch case. and there's no identification on the movement, which in the last picture where the watch is lying on the book showing that movement, the watch in the book has the company name on it. and it's a different movement. i can't imagine IWC not signing the movement, but i don't know much about this... so i'll shut up... :roll:

My thoughts exactly. And if it would haven been a real IWC, I think there would be a much higher price too since IWC is highly sought after nowadays.

Personally, I wouldn't touch the watch.

The seller has made clear that it's a new and custom case. 1884 almost always means a pocket watch, originally.
