B&R not amused

Hi all,
I purchased this watch new for between $6200 and $6500. It's a purchase I wish I had not made. I like the watch but find it nearly impossible to read the time! I contacted B&R to see if they could make the indices a more contrasting color..a service which I informed them I would happily pay for. They laughed in my electronic face and refused to even entertain the idea! So..while I'll keep the watch, I will most likely not buy another B&R though there are several I would like.
Cheers,

I'm not sure you'd get a better answer from MOST watch companies (might be some outliers and artistic types out there with time on their hands) out there. Some small time manufacturer might have built you a whole custom watch for that much money but it would not have been a B&R 🤷‍♂️
Where you sober when you bought it?

You bought it to actually tell the time? :p

Not sure where that came from! The jewelry store lights were such that it seemed fine. But my eyes didn't do as great after purchase and having watch at home to wear.

Sure...of course I liked the skull motif and the fact that it was supposedly a limited edition.

Ah, those lights.

Good question, especially since he's not even sure how much he paid for it

Thanks guys,
Wasn’t really expecting this level of laughter. Oh well..you live and you learn. All good here. To be honest I didn’t really remember the price. A lot of water over the dam since then. LOL!

When buying a watch, it's always wise to take it outside and see it in natural light.

Yeah...don't think they trusted me that far. LOL! I agree though..and the fault lies with me for not doing my due diligence.

That is a nice conversation starter then maybe use for time estimation .

Can always try to sell but will probably take a loss on the piece but for now wear and enjoy.

Unfortunately, that's more design than it is dial. Still an interesting piece. Perhaps only wear it on a casual day where time is not a matter of great importance? Find another, more legible timepiece, for the work day? It's pretty casual as it is, so, make it the weekender. I don't consider that a loss if you apply it right.
I would not expect B&R to even consider a design change even though you offered to pay and I personally think using that a a reason to not purchase from them again not a valid reason but this is only my humble opinion

$2 solution: put a penlight on your keyring.
I do not think B&R is at all to fault here and you are giving them a bad shake on this.

I could tell time closely enough for most purposes without indices. I do prefer those that stand out from the dial.
Find a local watchmaker and have them do what you want.
