We are, at long last, ready to unveil the back engraving for the BH... it took a number of revisions, but I'm pretty stoked with the result. Sure, she may be fully clothed (I know this particular fact will disappoint some :-d), but she's a beaut!

After several somewhat less-than-successful attempts to draw up a pic ourselves, we actually went out and comissioned a professional comic book and pinup artist, Gene Gonzales, to design Ms. BH. Gene seemed a natural choice - he's an ace at drawing tikis, and between working for such small & unknown companies as DC Comics, McGraw Hill, and Hewlett-Packard, he has even found time to do work for the Ron Jon Surf Shop and Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville.

More on Gene, and links to his sites, can be found on the BH site at:

Aloha!

(The full assembled samples due to arrive from Switzerland any day now, and I will promptly post some more pics... didn't realize just how hard it is to get good snaps of engraved shiny 316L steel! )

Looks great, everything is coming together nicely!
perfect
Excellent. Shows the value of hiring a real design professional. Really really well done. I want that on a T-shirt.

Beautiful Chris. I'm down for #7 if available. Oh yeah! Can you make her top removable? That's how we found the native girls when Cap'n Cook and I were hoisting tankards of rum in the Sandwich Isles.b-)

Or maybe a tattoo b-)

Nice design!
I was thinking the same thing. I got room. Thought I might talk to Chris or Gene the artist first about copyright. Or I could put it some place it will never be seen unless I do a nickle in Chino. :-(
I like it overall, and maybe it's just the lighting, but it looks like maybe the etching around the girls arm and stomach could be better pronounced or shaded. I'm guessing it's just the lighting though. Way cool idea for sure, very unique and a great addition to the awesome casebacks thread.
Very cool caseback. The T-Shirt idea is excellent too...
