Retired Union Pacific RR Engr here. 39 years in fact. Not a Ball afficianado. Carried the Hamilton 992B and the Hamilton 950B. The 992B had 21 jewels. The 950B having 23 jewels.
Also owned one B W Raymond pocket watch. Elgin produced the B W Raymond.
In 1964 the UPRR approved the Bulova Acutron Tuning Fork Quartz watch. Although many of my brother engineers purchased the Ball approve wrist watch.
You have a beautiful piece Sir.
