Hi folks, i'm just curious about your opinion...

Both are chronographs, different case material and brand...which one speaks to you more and why? (i'm pulling the trigger soon and i've already chosen according to my taste) ;-)

Girard-Perregaux 1966 Chronographe (released in 2010)

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph

Is neither an option?

Both are fine pieces but in terms of speaking to me... they dont.

The GP without a second thought. When I caught sight of it in my peripheral vision as I was walking down Madison Avenue this past summer, it literally stopped me in my tracks . It is proportioned well, is classically attractive and thus to me versatile, and has just enough modern touches (the numerals and the thicker metal of the crystal surround principally) to excuse it from the charge of being a slavish reproduction of a historical model. But then I'm a traditionalist. The Royal Oak, for its part, never really speaks to me, in any of its versions.

Out of these two, I would go with the GP. This AP doesn't appeal to me neither

Ugh, neither. Gun to my head, the GP.

GP in a nano-second. Just a great, classic looking, watch.

I'm afraid I have to agree.
Although, seeing that you've already got an APROO, I would probably go for the GP.

I'm pretty sure though, that whichever of these two you'll eventually end up with, we'll all be stunned once the pictures are posted. You seem to be able to make any watch look much better with your photography |>

The GP, although to be honest, I think I'd prefer it without the tachymeter.

The Girard-Perregaux, definitely!

Neither appeals to me, either, but if forced to choose, the GP.

The GP is a more visually appealing watch. I am a bit biased though as I have soft spot for Girard Perregeaux. You must post pictures once your choice arrives.

Not a fan of either. The tachymeter on the GP is too large and occupies too much of the dial, and I've personally never liked the Royal Oak line.

I like the GP, despite the fact that I hate Tachymeters. Somehow, they make it work and kept it clean looking.

Not a fan of AP, outside their Jules Audemars line.

If you want an AP, get an ROO Safari. Oh, you already have one.
That GP is a thing of great beauty...
