Looking at getting the B-R 123 officer model (on bracelet) in the silver dial, but am wondering if the silver hands will blend too much into the silver dial and create poor legibility? Anyone experienced with this model or this issue?

Fine for me. There are models with much better visibility in the range of course, but this one is fine. The hands are long, and satinised on one facet, polished on the other; you can always read the time. Only in the early morning light when the (thin) lume is gone is reading the time difficult. If there is any sort of light source it's absolutely fine.

The subdial is difficult to read, particularly when a hand passes over it. Other than not having a subdial, I'm not sure how you're supposed to deal with this. Skeleton hands, maybe, although on a watch like this they'd look gash.
