Best of Ali-Xpress?

Hey guys,

So I have been reading up and I know a lot of you guys are sourcing Ali-Xpress for cheap/affordable watches, either homage watches or just something out of the ordinary but with an OK building quality.

I have been looking around on Express but I really don't know where to start looking just because of the sheer amount of watches they offer.

So, please share with us your best founds or purchases on Express so we know where to start looking for a nice, very affordable watch on Express.
Everything is allowed, quartz, mechanical, analog, digital you name it. It just has to be a good watch for an average WUS'er.

TL;DR: the watch definitely has some value, sapphire crystal and sapphire bezel insert (!) vibrant dial and extremely good legibility, the color combo is top notch!
But it also has some weak points: case quite big and thick (42.3 x 14.0 mm) and very bad lume.

Your choice 😉

The dial needs to be trimmed to 28.2mm.

What method did you use to reduce the diameter of the dial? Looks awesome BTW.

Just a file. Circular movements. Surgical gloves and air blower are also useful to avoid grease on the dial and to blow off those little specs so they don’t get attached to the dial. Not much filing needed just 0.3mm. A 20 minute job. Just one more tip: once you did the filing make sure you attach the dial with the dial dots and leave it for an hour or two so it gets glued in prperly to the movement’s plastic spacer. Not much space on this particular miyota movement for where you can put the dial dots unfortunately. Only then should you put the hands on the pinions. Otherwise there is a danger that while fiddling with the stem when the dial is not fully glued on, the movement will move a bit to the right (in the direction of the stem) thus ruining your overall alignment. So the big triangle on the dial will be tilted to the left, the second hand will never hit the indices and the minute hand will be showing full minutes with the second hand at 12 in some position and will be landing between the indices with the second hand at 12 in other position, which could be irritating. I realize this explanation may be highly confusing without pics or even a short video. Apologies. But, long story short, a hand file, gloves or finger cots, airblower and approx 2 hours for the glue on the dial dots to season before you set the hands. BTW Thanks for the kind words

Does Ali Ex change the language setting on you?
I have mine set to Engllsh for the language, and USD $ for the currency, but it randomly changes.
I am stuck with Japanese at the moment.
I sometimes get French, which is perfectly doable (Oui, messieurs, Je peux parler, et certainement lire, un peu de français),
if a bit annoying.... bcz that annoying midget d-bag Mac(a)ron with his fancy pants watch , also speaks it. 💩

Anyway WTF is going on at Ali Ex?

This happens when clicking links from the forum where the creator was logged on in any other language. Just switch back to English.
Btw this also happens to me on other websites: when googling something and then clicking a link from e.g. amazon(dot)fr the language in my amazon app is switched from German to French (at least this site is asking, if that is OK, if I decline, they don't display the page ...)

But your analysis does not seem to be applicable in this situation: I click on MY ORDERS, without clicking on anything previously.
And MY ORDERS... is displayed in Japanese.

I have had this happen a couple times. No rhyme or reason. Clear history and cookies,
close internet browser and re-open and then log in again. I hope this works, it did for me.

Hey everyone, looking for advice. I’ve decided on my next watch being a Sugess Moonphase Master SU2108SZ. The two places I’ve found it is on Sugess’ main website and on AliExpress. Both are shipping from China.
It’s cheaper on Aliexpress but reading some mixed reviews on this thread on buying on Ali has me second guessing choosing the cheaper option. Should I spend more and buy via Sugess or am I overthinking it?

Now comes the hard part - waiting.

I bought my watch on Monday and realistically, I know it won't be here until the end of next week or the week after, at the soonest. But I'm still refreshing my orders page to see the status at least twice a day. You know, just in case.
