Best watch that suits a rubber strap

So I recently sold all my seikos as they rarely got worn when I have other watches I prefer in my collection. The only time I wore them recently was when I would go for a run, but I figured I would just wear one of my other pieces instead. Well yesterday I used my Omega SMP300m on bracelet for a run and it just felt heavy, cumbersome and too shiny for running.
So now I’m thinking off adding a watch to fulfil this role and that that will live on a rubber strap, as I find these the comfiest whilst running.
Would love to hear your suggestions, thank you.

Let me commit blasphemy on this forum by suggesting the Apple watch! 😈😈

Ok… now that we have the gasps out of the way; how about a Oris divers sixty five? Or a Baltic aquascaphe?

You need a 4k wrist watch to go running? Buy a disposable G Shock for that. They come with rubber straps or you can get nylon natos too. I literally just bought 1 15 minutes ago for running.

Edit: Nevermind. I just saw the UK flag. A dive watch is appropriate seeing how much rain you guys get over there lol

Apple Watch is terrific for running. I use one on an Apple rubber strap. It can time your runs with multiple simultaneous splits and also track distance (I'd say with 90% accuracy or better) and calculate mph, etc. It's lightweight and it also handles rain and sweat well. Very handy. I was a distance runner in school and I think it would've been great to have for training back then.

A square g shock. If you must have a rubber strap, put on some adapters.

Why would anyone specifically select a mechanical watch for running? Beyond me.
I don't need a watch for running as I'm not training for anything specific. I just enjoyed using mechanical watches which I have an interest in, and they do a good job for rough timing. Just like I don't need a mechanical watch for anything else. I would just like to add a piece to the collection that would stay on a rubber strap, that I would use for running as well as any other time I felt like wearing it.

A nice size at 39mm & very light. No date to fuss with.

That's what I suggested on P1, but no one else seems to like that idea.
I really like the OEM rubber strap, but I love the bracelet and would like to have a piece that stays on the rubber all the time so it's always ready to go without changing straps. If I had the new quick release bracelet and strap this is definitely the route I would go.
