Another vote for Omega SMP

If it has to be white dial my only input is go for one with really dark and strongly contrasting color of hands and markers, preferably thick heavy black ones or black arabics. Good readability at a glance in all lighting conditions is a must if a peice is going to be an every day daily wearer. The poor readability and legibility of white / silver dial watches with silver or light colored markers and hands make them poor every day pieces for me.

The white SMP is a Forum Favorite, which puts some people off, but it really does suit you to a T (based on the criteria you’ve given us).

Dial appearance wise? Grand Seiko, hands down. I doubt I’ll ever own one (every GS model that I like the looks doesn’t do it for me for one reason or another), but I find their white dials to be a thing of beauty.

Two other favorites for me that fit those requirements are: 1. Omega SMP, and 2. Christopher Ward C63 GMT. That’s just a really nice looking white dial, but might be too far “under budget,” lol.

To me, everyday rules out a diver. The AT is a good choice but I prefer the bracelet on this Tudor, and it's 100m WR.

My current everyday is a Seiko SKX007 with a Yao dial. There is no such thing as “under budget.”

Yup, I'm not a big fan of the brand (but don't hate it either [although my Quartz 300M Aquaracer usually loses about 1-3 seconds a year, which in my mind is impressive]); but that watch is flat out gorgeous.

Of all the choices mentioned so far the Globemaster would be my top choice. The white dialed Oyster Perpetual would have been a great alternative, if you could EVER find one under $6k.
